Sean has lived in China for seven years learning Chinese and working in the entertainment industry. He has worked mainly in animation and ancillary areas related to children such as live performance and events, marketing and business strategy, education, retail, licensing, financing and partnerships internationally and within China.
He has worked with companies such as Twin Light’s Chinese partner Haikun Animation Marketing and Planning on business development, partnerships and various other areas and Grantral International Group on business strategy, partnerships, establishing new brands, retail, marketing and operations. He has also worked with several companies to create strategies for entering and developing in China and has helped to solve issues that they encounter in this market.
Sean has a unique ability to understand and bridge the cultural and operational differences between the European and Chinese entertainment industries, as he has spent several years working with both.

Li Yong is the Founder and CEO of Twin Light’s Chinese partner company Haikun. He has over 20 years working experience in the entertainment industry in China across many areas such as culture focused industrial parks, culture and tourism projects, brand strategy, production, distribution, licensing, marketing and operations, animation character and merchandise design and sales, theme park design and operations, among others.

Haikun’s experience covers the whole animation industry chain, including development of original animation brands, animation character and merchandise design, animation brand marketing and planning, distribution, live performance, merchandise manufacturing, retail, toy and gift chain stores and theme parks, etc. The company has worked with top Chinese and international companies such as assisting Disney, Mattel, Alpha Animation, Lego and Hasbro with marketing strategies.
It has created, marketed and distributed its’ own original animation brands resulting in a feature film, and a range of ancillary areas including live performance, toys and consumer products. The company has also helped New Zealand companies to develop in China with fruitful results such as international co-productions, among other projects.
